As we go through life, we experience a great many things. And as human beings, we like to reminisce about
life experiences. Things like your first concert, first kiss, first break-up, first job, and so on. Those memories stack
up, and every now and then we pull them out of storage to share with others. And the aforementioned list just
wouldn’t be complete without including one’s first car. It’s such an important part of our transition from childhood
to adulthood. It opens the door to a level of independence we all crave.
Some people inherit their first car from parents or other family members. Some manage to save up the money to
buy that first set of wheels on their own, working wherever and whenever possible to make it happen. Regardless
of the means used to acquire them, our first cars instill a sense of pride and accomplishment, and that’s important.

FIRST CAR?
My first car was a little black Plymouth Laser – I think it
was a 1990, but I can’t quite remember the year. It was
given to me the summer before my senior year of high school
as a graduation present -- my aunt and uncle were upgrading
to a new car, so they gave me their old one. I drove it
during my entire senior year of high school and then, just a
